Good StuffI SWAM WITH A SEA TURTLE And I asked my other half to marry me while we were out exploring a beach in the Daintree rainforest. She said yes. That's pretty well covered it hasn't it? Reef snorkelling and proposals. Bad StuffVery little to complain of. The boat trip out to the reef was kind of dull and filled with tourists with a bizarre propensity for falling asleep suddenly all over the benches for no reason. There was (unsurprisingly) some stress involved in the proposal, but that went well once we had the beach to ourselves (and some tiny crabs). I suppose I could've chosen somewhere with a nicer name. It's not the best story telling someone you get engaged in a place called "Cow Bay". Mood Stuff
The upshot though was that the combination of becoming engaged and doing something I've wanted to do for years and years (seeing the Barrier Reef before it all dies because humans are the worst) left me feeling pretty positive. Cap it all off with forty minutes of following around Mr Shell up there and it left me feeling sad to be leaving, but absolutely overjoyed to have experienced what I had. I was genuinely happy.
Yeh it's probably not as funny as me ranting sarcastically for five hundred words but it's my blog ok? Just have another nice picture or something and be grateful (in cash).
